In this module you will go through some specialised intellectual property we developed here at London Real: The Podcast Sprint.
Most people when they have an idea, whether it’s for a business, podcast or anything else, dive right in. And months down the line when they figure out their idea sucks, it’s too late.
We are going to do one extra step before we start our podcast.
We are going to test our idea so that we can practically guarantee it will be a success.

You are going to sit down (or Skype) with as many mini-audience members as you can and ask them questions to understand who they are and what they want. You will figure out their problems, ambitions and challenges so that you can develop a podcast that people value.

Based on your research with your mini-audience and competition, you will create a prototype. You will give potential listeners an overview of what your podcast will look like on the outside before creating a single episode. This will help you understand whether your podcast idea will interest people or not.
In order to do this you are going to list 10 juicy episode titles.
Some things to consider:
In case you can’t come up with any good titles, here are some formulas to create some strong ones. These are just optional, you don’t need to stick to them.
And in case you really have no idea, just start your headline with “how to…” these have been proven to always work very well.

Your prototype doesn’t have to be perfect, just good enough for people to understand what you are going to do.
Next, you are showing your list of 10 episodes to some people of your mini-audience. You can do this through skype, but I recommend to do it face-to-face.
IMPORTANT: You are NOT looking for approval, but genuine honest feedback, if it’s good it’s good, if it’s bad you must take notice. We are here to improve the concept, not confirm it.
Ask them to read the episode titles aloud so you can follow their train of thought.
